Jon Herman is an Assistant Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineeringat UC Davis. His goal is to improve computational methods for simulation and optimization of water resources systems, including climate adaptation planning under uncertainty, multi-objective reservoir control, and parameter sensitivity in flood and drought prediction. Current studies focus on systems where water supply is strongly linked to agricultural production, energy generation, and land use, such as California and the Western U.S. For more information visit the research page, or check out recent papers. The Herman Research Group are also regular contributors to open-source software.
