Bio

Kelly Neal started working at CWS in December 2016 as a Student Assistant dissecting juvenile salmon and conducting gut identification. In June 2019 she graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Management and minor in Geographic Information Systems. She currently is a Junior Specialist in the Johnson-Jeffres Lab working on the Tidal Parr Project looking at habitat suitability in the San Francisco Delta for juvenile salmon rearing. She also works on the Eyes and Ears Project peeling lenses for Carbon, Nitrogen, and Sulfur isotope analysis to look at salmon origin, trophic level of food sources, and other evolving answers provided by salmon eye lenses.
