Larisa is from Fort Worth, Texas, and enrolled at UC Davis to study Environmental Science and Management in 2020. She began working in the Johnson-Jeffres group in the summer of 2023 and initially focused on juvenile salmon dissections. Recently, she has been working on preparing and post-processing otoliths for analysis. She enjoys working with otoliths and is interested in exploring more projects associated with them in the lab. When she is not working, she enjoys exploring California by going on road trips, hiking, and hanging out with friends.
