Bio

McKenzie Ginther is a Junior Specialist at the Center for Watershed Sciences assisting in the research about the effects of beaver dam analogues (BDA) in meadow restoration under the supervision of Sarah Yarnell. She currently coordinates and carries out the collection and analysis of hydrologic and geomorphic data from the long-term monitoring sites at Child's Meadow and Van Norden Meadow. 

Prior to this position, McKenzie graduated with a BS in Environmental Science at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and worked on various projects focused on nearshore ecology (specifically fish and kelp) and on the effects of the Elwha Dam removal in Washington State. She is broadly interested in all aspects of aquatic restoration ecology and hydrology.
