Bio

Miranda is an Assistant Researcher with the Johnson-Jeffres group, where she assists in researching the ecology of California Chinook Salmon through stable isotopes in archival tissues. Previously, she worked on the Eyes and Ears Project processing eye lens samples and isotope data.

Her current research focuses on understanding Thiamine Deficiency Complex by reconstructing the historic diets of winter run California Central Valley Chinook Salmon via stable isotopes (Carbon and Nitrogen) in their scales.
