I am an Assistant Cooperative Extension Specialist with the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) and faculty member of the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at U.C. Berkeley.

My research explores the relationships between hydrological and ecological processes in studies relevant to the management of water resources. Much of my work has focused on understanding environmental flow needs for sustaining freshwater ecosystem and identifying strategies to incorporate ecological principles in water management practices, policy, and decision-making. Both of these areas continue to be active research themes, with a growing emphasis on how to sustainably manage freshwater systems in a rapidly changing climat
